Happy Halloween!

Santiago's second Halloween was perfect in every way! We did lots of fun activities (he's still recovering from Halloween hangover. . . don't worry, I'm keeping him hydrated). We went to a Halloween party  and Pumpkin Picking.

Last night we went Trick o' Treating in our neighborhood. Santiago was thrilled to be dressed in his spoooky costume, walking right up to each door proclaiming "Teet Teet" (that's Trick or Treat in Santiago). It was absolutely precious!

Santiago's first Easter.

yesterday was the prettiest spring day. it was heavenly. we celebrated the RISING of Jesus Christ's by going to church and having an egg hunt at the park.

we love easter! we decided we're going to celebrate Jesus the rest of the week by eating lots of the chocolate bunnies, little yellow marshmallow chicks, jellybeans and carrot cupcakes with lots of cream cheese icing, just how we like them.

Oh! have you seen a leprechaun,

a leprechaun, a leprechaun? Oh! have you seen a sneaky little leprechaun that came from Ireland?

That sneaky Leprechaun was up to no good yesterday at my house. We woke up to green milk! Yes, GREEN MILK! Which Santiago thought was awesome! Did you know green milk turns your hair green? Lo and behold that sneaky Leprechaun used his magic and turned Santiago's hair green!! but by the time I grabbed my camera to take a picture it changed back to brown . . . . shoot!

Then for lunch that sneaky Leprechaun turned pureed sweet potatoes into pureed peas (which Santiago hates) Can you believe it? And turned my salad into Lucky Charms cereal? Oh, that darn Leprechaun.

he also left this book!

But by far the most mischievous thing that little Leprechaun did all day was leave delicious shamrock shake cupcakes.

A day of love.

When I was little girl, Valentine's Day was my favorite holiday. I dreamed endlessly about what my Valentine would look like and what we would do to celebrate the lover's holiday together. I'd imagine him whisking me away to a romantic castle in France and live happily ever after. Now, I have my very own little Valentine, and it is Mr. Santiago. He smiles and my heart feels like it's going to burst with love and happiness. I am hopelessly in love with my little Valentine.

So, the castle in France didn't happen but I did have a romantic day with my little lover.

Valentine's day is not Valentine's day without Retro cupcakes. We celebrated the lover's holiday with cupid approved cupcakes.

Oh, Valentine's Day. So much love, chocolate, pretty flowers and love cards. To show a little love to my valentines, I baked some heart shaped biscuits to go along with our breakfast.

You can't really have Valentine's Day without heart shaped food, now can you? I hope someone gives you a heart shaped biscuit (or sugar cookie). You've earned it.
